ABOUT
Naoko Yamane is a Berlin-based multidisciplinary designer working across brand identity, graphic design, illustration, and object design. Form, texture, and natural materials run through her work, from branding to everyday objects.
Born in Japan, she moved to Berlin in 2017 to study communication design at HTK Academy of Design and has worked in the city’s design scene since graduating in 2020. After roles at MiN design agent & distributor and as a senior graphic designer at mc Group, she now works as a freelance designer. In 2023 she co-founded POTU Studio, where she designs and makes objects in wood, ceramic, and other materials. Her clients range from cultural institutions and international organizations to independent businesses and design studios.
Bilingual in Japanese and English, she brings cross-cultural sensitivity to tone, detail, and visual balance in international projects.
